Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tetsuo Shima (ranked 1130 p4p, 3607 weight class) and Dan Averescu (ranked 151 p4p, 403 weight class). Shima comes to the cage accompanied by The HU - Yuve Yuve Yu. Averescu is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Guns N' Roses - Welcome To The Jungle. Tetsuo Shima is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 45 - 22 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Tetsuo Shima! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 28 - 44 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dan Averescu! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Shima.
It seemed like Averescu was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Shima misses with a double jab
and Averescu cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Shima fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Averescu tries to keep at a distance but Shima has taken the fight into the clinch. Averescu just leaning against Shima, taking a breather. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The referee calls for Shima to work.
