The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Nice sprawl there from Crazy Horse as Hole shoots in. Crazy Horse gets caught flat footed, as Hole shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Crazy Horse (0) vs (2) Hole Hole not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Crazy Horse keeping full guard, as Hole tries to pass. Crazy Horse keeping moving, preventing Hole from controlling successfully. Hole controlling from the top position. Crazy Horse is trying to control the position but Hole postures up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hole wants to control from the top but Crazy Horse keeps moving. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Hole drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Crazy Horse dives on top into guard. Crazy Horse slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Hole is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Crazy Horse controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Hole looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Crazy Horse puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Hole wants to control but Crazy Horse passes into side.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hole tries to buck Crazy Horse off but Crazy Horse is having none of it. Hole is trying to control Crazy Horse's posture but Crazy Horse avoids it. Hole tries to get back to half guard but can't. Crazy Horse working away. Crazy Horse will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Crazy Horse is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Hole's shoulder. That is not cool. Hole is looking to regain half guard here but Crazy Horse keeps moving and retains side control. Crazy Horse working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crazy Horse moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Hole tries to get back to half guard but can't. Hole wants to control but Crazy Horse postures up. Hole tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Crazy Horse wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Hole keeps trying to improve his position. Hole struggling a bit here. We've been hearing that Crazy Horse has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Crazy Horse trying to control the position but Hole is working away. Crazy Horse moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Hole felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hole can't do much from the bottom here. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Hole is looking to reverse the position. Hole is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Crazy Horse's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Hole is trying to control but can't.

That's five minutes gone in the round. Hole wants to hold on but Crazy Horse pushes him away. Hole is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Crazy Horse is staying active. Crazy Horse tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Hole is wriggling around trying to escape.
Hole tries to lock up and control but Crazy Horse gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Hole bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Crazy Horse (8) vs (4) Hole Hole preventing the sweep. Crazy Horse seems keen to control Hole's posture. Hole wants to control from the top but Crazy Horse keeps moving.

Hole trying to control but Crazy Horse is working from the bottom. Hole looking to improve position, pressing down on Crazy Horse's thigh with his hand. Crazy Horse seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Hole paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Hole's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Crazy Horse picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
