Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rasul Rzayev (ranked 3869 p4p, 4026 weight class) and Skello Skello (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rasul Rzayev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Skello Skello! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Konstantin Menshow and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rzayev stuffs the takedown. Rzayev moves into the clinch. Skello ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Skello no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Skello has his foot on Rzayev's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rzayev works his way back into a safe position though. Rzayev gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Skello gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Rzayev counters with a two punch combo. Skello darts in looking for a takedown but Rzayev gets double underhooks and turns Skello into the cage. Rasul Rzayev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Skello Skello. Rzayev rushes Skello and presses him up against the cage. Rzayev jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Skello walks away with a smile on his face. Rzayev gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Skello misses with a body kick. Rzayev gets in close and instigates a clinch. Rzayev has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Skello regains guard immediately. Skello has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Rzayev off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rzayev moves in looking to clinch but Skello pushes him off. Rzayev manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Skello on his heels. He'll look to pass Skello's guard now, I'm sure. Skello looking for a sweep. Not yet Skello, not yet. Rzayev has gone for a leg lock! Skello slips out almost immediately though and dives into Rzayev's guard. Rzayev seems keen to control Skello's posture. Skello preventing the sweep. Rzayev looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Rzayev on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Rzayev tries to get out of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rzayev has his foot on Skello's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Skello works his way back into a safe position though. Skello is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Skello pushes down on Rzayev's leg and manages to get into half guard. Skello seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Rzayev is looking for a sweep. Skello is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Rzayev looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Rzayev is breathing heavily. Skello is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Skello wants to pass to mount but Rzayev is defending the position. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Skello in particular looking to stall. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. It looks like Skello is going to stand back up.
Skello not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Skello throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Rzayev shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Skello has one foot on Rzayev's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Rzayev has managed to clinch.
Skello is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Rzayev manages to break the clinch.
Skello closes the distance and clinches. Skello looking for a takedown. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Rasul Rzayev will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Skello with a lazy takedown attempt and Rzayev holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. A left hand lands to the body for Rzayev.
Skello's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Rzayev dives in and grabs Skello's left leg, looking for a takedown. Skello pushes down on Rzayev's head and hops out. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Skello. Rzayev tries to clinch there but Skello circles away.
Skello is looking to clinch but Rzayev is avoiding it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Skello with a poor takedown and Rzayev counters with a solid body kick. Rasul Rzayev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Skello Skello. Skello closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rzayev circles away. Rzayev drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Skello bucks up and tries to throw Rzayev off but instead Rzayev has got his back! Skello is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rzayev working for the choke. Skello Skello has got the better of the ground game so far. Skello looking very determined here, making life difficult for Rzayev.
Rzayev slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Rzayev punishes Skello with strikes from the back mount. Will Rzayev go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Skello tries to escape but Rzayev has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Rzayev is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Skello knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Skello for a finish. Rzayev is not going to allow Skello to sit and survive in this position. Skello is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Rzayev.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Skello just trying to survive but Rzayev is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Skello wants to escape the position.
Skello tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Rzayev throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Skello regains half guard. Rzayev throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Skello slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rzayev trying to control the position from guard on top but Skello is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Skello trying to keep a closed guard but Rzayev is proving a slippery customer.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Skello tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rzayev swivels and escapes. The fight stays on the outside here - Rzayev looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Rzayev takes a kick to the side of the head. Skello clinches with his opponent.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Rasul Rzayev dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round! Rzayev displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Skello. Rzayev moves out of range of the leg kick from Skello. Rzayev shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Rzayev not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rzayev stalling. Skello has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rzayev is working away from the top position though.

Skello is trying to maintain the position but Rzayev is very close to passing his half guard. Rzayev sitting and controlling from the half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Skello shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Rzayev is looking for a counter combo. Skello takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Skello misses with a takedown and Rzayev moves into the clinch. Rasul Rzayev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Skello Skello. Skello blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Rzayev is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Skello to keep the fight standing. Skello gets control of Rzayev's arms and successfully pulls guard. Skello will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Rzayev is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Rzayev wants to control from the top but Skello keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rzayev trying to stand up but can't free himself from Skello's guard. Rzayev trying to control the position from guard on top but Skello is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Skello had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rzayev defends it easily. Rzayev postures up.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Rzayev feints and as Skello raises his hands in defense, Rzayev changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Rzayev slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Skello is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Rzayev working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Skello's head. Skello Skello has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rasul Rzayev is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Skello looking for a guillotine here but Rzayev defends easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Rasul Rzayev showed his dominance in that final round. Well Rzayev has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
