Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mighty Marin (ranked 775 p4p, 1090 weight class) and Hrvoje Vinkovic (ranked 82 p4p, 117 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mighty Marin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hrvoje Vinkovic!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Shimada and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vinkovic dives in and grabs Marin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Marin pushes down on Vinkovic's head and hops out.
Marin appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Vinkovic fails with the takedown
and Marin counters with a nice body shot.
Vinkovic tries to score a power double leg takedown but Marin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Vinkovic somewhat.
Mighty Marin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hrvoje Vinkovic.
Vinkovic bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

and Marin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Vinkovic shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Marin sprawls well. Marin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vinkovic gets slowly back to his feet.

Vinkovic stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Marin definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Vinkovic changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Marin fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Mighty Marin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Vinkovic shoots in looking for a takedown. Marin tries to sprawl out of it but Vinkovic keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Marin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
The fighters circle momentarily. Vinkovic darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Marin gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Vinkovic to score an easy takedown into full guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Vinkovic working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Vinkovic throws a strike but Marin rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Vinkovic has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Marin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Marin controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Vinkovic is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Vinkovic wants to sweep here but Marin controlling him for the moment.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Vinkovic looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Marin puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Marin is pressing down on Vinkovic's thigh, looking to free his foot. Vinkovic is holding on for now.

That was a close round but I would say that Mighty Marin will probably get the nod.

Mighty Marin is winning the standup battle so far.
Marin tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Vinkovic manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Marin ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Vinkovic uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Marin has time to react.
Vinkovic doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Horrible takedown attempt by Vinkovic or perhaps it was just good defense by Marin, which made it look bad.

Vinkovic gets through Marin's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Vinkovic goes for a double leg but Marin avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Marin continues to drive forward.

Vinkovic uses his free foot to push down on Marin's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Marin.

Vinkovic sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vinkovic has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Marin's face.
Vinkovic throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Marin because Vinkovic loaded up on that one.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Vinkovic cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Vinkovic has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

I would just about give that final round to Hrvoje Vinkovic.
I think Vinkovic has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
