Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Satoshi Ekaku (ranked 359 p4p, 290 weight class) and Kwasi Kwong (ranked 35 p4p, 32 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Satoshi Ekaku!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 36 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kwasi Kwong!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kwong throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Kwong takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Ekaku takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Ekaku throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Kwong misses with a lunging right hand
enabling Ekaku to counter with a crisp jab.
A cross from Kwong lands.
A decent looking cross lands there for Kwong.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kwong connects with a nice looking jab.
Ekaku pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kwong wants to counter the offense by Ekaku and move into the clinch position.
Ekaku takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Kwong swings wildly with an uppercut but Ekaku uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ekaku tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kwong smiles and moves away.
Ekaku will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Kwong counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Ekaku thinking.

and Ekaku cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ekaku, as that shot connected.
Ekaku throws a solid leg kick but Kwong takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Ekaku.

and Ekaku counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ekaku misses with an uppercut. Kwong saw that one coming.
Ekaku connects with an inside leg kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Kwasi Kwong showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Ekaku is looking to chop away at Kwong's legs.
Kwong tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ekaku swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Kwong takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Ekaku gets tackled into the cage by Kwong. Kwong maintains the clinch.
Kwong pushes Ekaku back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Kwong has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Kwong lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Ekaku backwards.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kwong lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Kwong doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Kwong keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Ekaku's efforts to push away.

Ekaku has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kwong uses from the top position.
Kwong wants to get up but he can't break Ekaku's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Ekaku working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kwong doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kwong manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Satoshi Ekaku has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Kwong stands up and waves to Ekaku to follow him.
Kwong's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Kwong throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Ekaku.
Kwong throws a hook to the side of Ekaku's head but Ekaku sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Kwong avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kwong closes the distance but Ekaku moves to the side
and Ekaku counters with a stiff right hand.

Kwasi Kwong comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Kwong winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
