With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ugrapurod Makagziadan!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makagziadan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Varis.
Makagziadan swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Makagziadan misses with a two punch combination.

We've been hearing reports that Varis has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Makagziadan's coach down at Gold Samurai\'s Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Makagziadan's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Varis is trying to drag Makagziadan to the mat but Makagziadan just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Varis lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Makagziadan tries to score with a low kick but Varis moves his leg out of the way.
Varis missing with a left hand there. Makagziadan was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Varis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Makagziadan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
