Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alden Parker (ranked 3830 p4p, 3959 weight class) and Tyshawn Santiago (ranked 0 p4p, 336 weight class). Alden Parker could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tyshawn Santiago's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alden Parker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tyshawn Santiago!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Steve Montenegro and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parker moves in looking to clinch but Santiago pushes him off.
Santiago lands a big head kick that sends Parker tumbling to the mat! Santiago takes a step backwards and waves Parker back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Parker is rocked!
Santiago rushes Parker and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Oh Parker is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Santiago gets a trip takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Parker tries to get to full guard but Santiago has control of the leg.
Parker seems to have got his legs back now.

Parker trying to hold on to Santiago's head to control him but Santiago postures up.

Santiago takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Parker wants to control but Santiago is keeping busy.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Santiago is trying to control. Parker wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Parker might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Santiago stops Parker from getting back to his feet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Parker changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Santiago tries to avoid it but Parker manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Santiago to the ground. Santiago escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Parker gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Santiago to score an easy takedown into full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Parker trying to get back to full guard but Santiago takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Parker is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Santiago throws a quick inside leg kick.
Parker tries for a takedown but Santiago circles away easily
and Santiago comes in over the top with a devastating right hand! Parker stumbles back against the cage, looking to regain his senses but Santiago is on him like rabid pit bull! Parker slumps to the ground under a storm of punches and this fight is over!
