Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brice Werner!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Francis DeMontford and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Werner swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Erthegg attempts a counter takedown but Werner avoids it well and moves away.
Werner rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Erthegg moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Brice Werner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Werner looks to land a combination but Erthegg avoids it well.
No joy there for Werner, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Erthegg half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Erthegg swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Werner has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Werner throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Erthegg counters with a single leg into guard. Werner didn't expect that.

Erthegg is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Erthegg postures up in Werner's guard and throws a big left but Werner blocks it.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Erthegg sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Werner's guard.
Erthegg has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Erthegg is nestled in close to Werner, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Shteve Erthegg decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
