Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cormac McCarthy (ranked 1838 p4p, 1923 weight class) and Banchamek Buakaw (ranked 222 p4p, 228 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yuuki Gou and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCarthy connects with a leg kick.
Buakaw gets cracked there but stands up to it.
McCarthy throws a hook but Buakaw avoids it easily.
Buakaw misses with a left hand
and McCarthy counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
McCarthy bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Buakaw's head.

Cormac McCarthy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
