Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rickety Cricket (ranked 2307 p4p, 2613 weight class) and Drew Bones (ranked 262 p4p, 302 weight class). Rickety Cricket had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rickety Cricket! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Drew Bones! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Ackerman and Donald Grub.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cricket closes the distance and clinches. Cricket misses with some punches.

Bones decides to pull guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bones has his hands on Cricket's head, controlling the position. Bones's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Let's hope that Bones has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Bones. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bones is defended easily by Cricket. Cricket stuffs the takedown attempt from Bones. Bones gets slowly back to his feet. Rickety Cricket has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Drew Bones. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cricket tries to close the distance and clinch but Bones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Bones tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Cricket is looking to clinch. Cricket is looking to clinch. Bones lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Bones jumps guard and drags Cricket to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Bones is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Bones will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Bones is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cricket defends well. Drew Bones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Rickety Cricket is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bones escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cricket gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Drew Bones. I think Cricket has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
