Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Topan Badai (ranked 5089 p4p, 3837 weight class) and Xzavier Barrett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Topan Badai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Xzavier Barrett!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Roger Salmon and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Badai tries to score a power double leg takedown but Barrett sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Badai somewhat.
Badai slips a jab and a cross from Barrett.
Barrett clinches with his opponent.
Barrett presses Badai against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Badai has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Barrett is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Barrett lands a body shot.
A short body shot lands from Barrett as the two fighters clinch.
Badai is trying to break the clinch but Barrett is controlling him.
Barrett manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Badai takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Xzavier Barrett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barrett throws a series of punches but Badai moves out of range.
Barrett throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Badai stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Badai is looking to clinch.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Barrett! But no joy.

Barrett closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Badai is rocked!
Barrett misses with a jab, cross combination.
Oh Badai is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Badai gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Barrett lands with a shot to the body.
Badai shoots in but no luck this time.

Badai really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Barrett cracks Badai with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Barrett smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Barrett connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Badai's hands.

Barrett takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Nice takedown defense from Barrett. No joy for Badai on that attempt.
Badai is breathing heavily.
Barrett lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Badai shoots in and gets a takedown into Barrett's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Barrett can do anything to dispel that myth.
Barrett uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Barrett has taken the fight to the clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Badai has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Barrett after a bit of a struggle.
Badai is trying to pull guard but Barrett turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Barrett breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Barrett works over Badai's head and body with a nice combination.
Barrett tries to bum rush Badai with a series of wild strikes but Badai uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Xzavier Barrett is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Barrett scores with a jab to the head.
Badai is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Barrett moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Xzavier Barrett!
In defeat, Topan Badai stepped up to the mic, saying 'Someday I will beat him. I will never give up. Allah is the Greatest'.
