Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Manion (ranked 5074 p4p, 5027 weight class) and Gozo Shioda (ranked 409 p4p, 406 weight class). Manion comes into the arena with Solid Rock blaring out of the sound system. Shioda has chosen Monster Eats Manhattan - Salvation as his entrance music. Gozo Shioda is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Manion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gozo Shioda!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Hirohito Nitta and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manion shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Shioda now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Shioda keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Horrible takedown attempt by Manion or perhaps it was just good defense by Shioda, which made it look bad.
Shioda lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
It looks like Jack Manion has been cut.

Gozo Shioda comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
