Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Jackman (ranked 299 p4p, 494 weight class) and Yin Mao (ranked 27 p4p, 45 weight class). Mao is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by HonestKey- Pass. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jimmy Jackman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Yin Mao!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackman lands a right hook to the body.
Jackman tries for a takedown but Mao circles away easily
and Mao connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Jackman seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
A slow jab from Jackman misses its intended target.

Jackman fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mao to the ground. Jackman is now in Mao's guard.
Jackman landing some decent shots from guard.
Mao trying to keep a closed guard but Jackman is proving a slippery customer.
Jackman trying to control but Mao is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mao working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jackman.
Mao not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jackman is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Jackman is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Jackman is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Jackman chips away with some ground and pound.

Mao looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Jackman has picked Mao up and slammed him! Mao can't keep hold of the triangle and Jackman manages to pass to side control!

Mao is working to avoid the ground and pound but Jackman connects with a decent elbow.
Jackman advances to full mount.
Jackman connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Mao taking shots to the head.
Jackman lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Mao is bucking up trying to escape but Jackman cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Jackman pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jackman cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jackman wants to control the pace but Mao is squirming around nicely.

Jackman looking for a guillotine from mount but Mao is having none of it.
Jackman breaks from Mao's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Mao is rocked!
Jackman postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Mao bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Jackman and the fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jimmy Jackman!
Jimmy Jackman decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
In defeat, Yin Mao stepped up to the mic, saying 'Oh well, on to the next one!'.
