Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Axel Foley (ranked 2859 p4p, 3480 weight class) and Melvin Tate (ranked 278 p4p, 325 weight class). Foley's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Beverly Hills Cop Theme. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Hugh Johnson and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foley throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tate throws a hook but Foley avoids it easily.
Foley slips a jab from Tate.
Tate has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Tate bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Foley's head backwards.

Tate is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Foley had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.

Tate throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Foley stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
We've been told by Foley's head coaches at The Nonce Hunters that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Tate fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Foley looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Tate throws a hook to the side of Foley's head but Foley sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Tate throws an overhand right that lands on Foley's shoulder, as Foley tries to avoid the shot.
Tate swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Foley misses with a hook.

and Tate connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Tate misses the shot to the body.
Tate feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Foleys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Tate sizes up Foley with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

It looked like Foley wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Tate sends Foley crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Tate is motioning to the referee to let Foley up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Foley is rocked!
Tate might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Tate now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Oh Foley is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tate thuds a left hand into Foley's body.
Foley has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tate throws a big shot that misses.

Tate throws an overhand right that drops Foley like a sack of potatoes! Tate dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
