Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Rey Ross!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sherpov Gelovkin!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Atkins and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Ross.
Gelovkin scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Ross kicks off Gelovkin and gets to his feet.
Gelovkin throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ross tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gelovkin is in Ross's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gelovkin drops back looking for a leg! Ross is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ross manages to kick Gelovkin off! Gelovkin jumps back into Ross's guard.

Gelovkin drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ross dives on top into guard.
Gelovkin is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ross defends well.

Ross is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Our spies down at at Roosters Coop inform us that Gelovkin has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
