Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oki Zuki (ranked 1382 p4p, 1166 weight class) and Guilherme Gamboa (ranked 63 p4p, 56 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paulsen Ambrosius and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gamboa shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Zuki manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Zuki wants to stand but Gamboa is controlling the position.
Gamboa must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Gamboa drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Zuki dives on top into guard.
Zuki wants to get up but he can't break Gamboa's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Gamboa dives in and grabs Zuki 's left leg, looking for a takedown. Zuki pushes down on Gamboa's head and hops out.

Gamboa throws a nice looking combination but Zuki bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

And Gamboa tries to counter it with a takedown but Zuki pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Zuki pushes Gamboa off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gamboa tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Gamboa gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Zuki counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Gamboa takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Gamboa fails to land with a series of punches.
Zuki swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Zuki keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Gamboa.
Zuki is looking for a counter combo.
Gamboa on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Gamboa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Zuki tries to avoid it but Gamboa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Zuki to the ground. Zuki escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Zuki drops Gamboa with a beautiful combination! Gamboa stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Zuki is looking for the KO!
It looks like Guilherme Gamboa has been cut.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Oki Zuki dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
