Score +3 for passing guard: Rules (2) vs (5) Cabrera Rules wants to hold on but Cabrera pushes him away. Cabrera sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.  That's eleven minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Cabrera has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Rules is desperately trying to improve his position but Cabrera has a good base and remains in mount.
 That's twelve minutes gone in the round. Cabrera controlling his opponent. Rules is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Cabrera wants to control the pace but Rules is squirming around nicely.
 That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Rules is looking to improve his position but Cabrera isn't that keen on the idea. Rules tries to improve his position but instead Cabrera has taken his back! Score +3 for taking back: Rules (2) vs (8) Cabrera Cabrera is not going to allow Rules to sit and survive in this position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cabrera is hanging on to Rules's back as he tries to escape.

I really don't envy Rules right now.

And that's the end of the fight! Cabrera wins on points by 8 to 2. An out of breath Hendrix Cabrera thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career. |
