Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nikolai Kozlov!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kozlov drives through with a takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Thompson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kozlov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Kozlov lands a couple of elbows.
Thompson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kozlov.
Kozlov missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kozlov throwing strikes but missing.
Kozlov postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kozlov makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
It looks like Adam Thompson has been cut.
Kozlov trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Kozlov with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Thompson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Kozlov throwing strikes but missing.
Kozlov throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Thompson works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Kozlov postures up in Thompson's guard and throws a big left but Thompson blocks it.
Kozlov stands up over Thompson, holding on to his feet. Kozlov throws the legs to one side and dives in with a huge shot that lands flush on the chin! Thompson is out cold! Kozlov lands a couple more shots and the ref tackles him out of the way! What a brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Nikolai Kozlov!
