Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Moussa Dje (ranked 2588 p4p, 2262 weight class) and Nikolai Kaspersky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Nikolai Kaspersky was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Moussa Dje! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nikolai Kaspersky! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Micheangelo Fripello.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dje wants to clinch but Kaspersky slips to the side and Kaspersky counters with a lovely straight right hand! The fight stays on the outside here - Dje looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Dje wants to clinch but Kaspersky slips to the side and Kaspersky connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Kaspersky throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Dje on the side of the head. Dje tries to clinch but Kaspersky moves away
and Kaspersky counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Dje looking for submissions off his back. Kaspersky really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dje. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Dje moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Dje has momentary wrist control but Kaspersky slips an elbow through the middle. Kaspersky is in close to Dje's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Dje had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kaspersky defends it easily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kaspersky sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Dje is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Dje is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kaspersky engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Dje working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kaspersky doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kaspersky manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kaspersky works over Dje with some ground and pound from guard.
Dje is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kaspersky defends well. Kaspersky controlling from the top position.
Dje escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kaspersky gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Kaspersky controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Kaspersky must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
 That's two minutes gone in the round.
 The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Dje throws his legs up looking for a submission but Kaspersky uses it to pass to side control.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Kaspersky working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. Dje tries to bench press Kaspersky off him but Kaspersky keeps the position. Kaspersky working the head and body with strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dje gets back to half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kaspersky connects with a nice short shot to Dje's temple. Dje is looking to improve his position.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Kaspersky scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Dje actively working from the bottom here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dje is looking for a sweep. Kaspersky is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Dje is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kaspersky scores with a couple of nice shots. Kaspersky keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Kaspersky's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Kaspersky lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Kaspersky controlling the pace. Kaspersky working the head and body with strikes. Kaspersky lands with a punch from half guard. Kaspersky stalling.
Dje looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kaspersky lands a nice short elbow. Kaspersky content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Nikolai Kaspersky dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kaspersky controlling from the full mount. Dje tries to get back to half guard but can't. Dje is desperately trying to improve his position but Kaspersky has a good base and remains in mount. Dje regains half guard.
Dje has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Kaspersky. Oh but Dje has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Kaspersky goes limp - he's gone! Dje jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
