Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ippo Makunouchi (ranked 1865 p4p, 3086 weight class) and Mike Putin (ranked 220 p4p, 348 weight class). Putin has chosen CATHARSIS as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ippo Makunouchi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Putin!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Illya Tyunina and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Putin throws a lazy right hand but Makunouchi sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Putin misses with a lunging right hand
and Makunouchi counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Mike Putin has been cut.
Putin fails with an attempt to clinch.
An attempted straight right counter from Makunouchi misses the target.
Makunouchi moves away from the strike by Putin.
Putin closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Makunouchi pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Makunouchi jabs Putin to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Putin closes the distance and clinches.
Makunouchi blocks a body shot from Putin.
Putin keeps control of Makunouchi as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Makunouchi breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A jab from Putin misses.
Left hook, right uppercut from Makunouchi.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Putin takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Makunouchi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Putin moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Makunouchi throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Makunouchi lands a big right hand that sends Putin crashing to the mat! Makunouchi stays standing though and waves Putin back to his feet!
Putin is rocked!
Putin bobbing and weaving nicely... He's ducked under a jab and ducks again but ooooooh! Makunouchi comes at him with an uppercut from hell! Putin falls to the canvas, unconscious! This one is all over! Oh man, looking at the replay that was right on the button! Putin was out before he hit the floor!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ippo Makunouchi!
