Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Drago (ranked 63 p4p, 37 weight class) and Mabuz Bacia (ranked 13 p4p, 7 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Drago might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Drago Theme. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mabuz Bacia!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drago fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Drago takes one on the button.
Drago gets a clinch.
Drago is trying to maintain a safe position but Bacia gets an underhook and turns Drago into the cage.
Bacia is trying to force a seperation but Drago has the dominant position.
A head punch on the inside from Bacia fails to land.
Drago is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Bacia is trying to break the clinch but Drago has him pressed against the cage.

Bacia misses with a hook to the ribs.
I was talking to Drago's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Bacia can't find room to land a body shot as Drago controls the action.
Bacia looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bacia is trying to break the clinch but Drago has him pressed against the cage.

Bacia wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Bacia breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Drago walks straight into a right hand from Bacia - that's dropped him! Bacia jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Drago from any more punishment! Drago complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Mabuz Bacia!
Our winner, Mabuz Bacia, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
Ivan Drago was interviewed post fight and said 'If I die....I die'.
