Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Oliveira (ranked 1774 p4p, 1549 weight class) and Kouassi Fofano (ranked 212 p4p, 189 weight class). Oliveira's entrance music is O HINO. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kouassi Fofano!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Saam Ante and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fofano is trying hard to land a takedown here. Oliveira sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Kouassi Fofano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No joy there for Oliveira, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Fofano changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Fofano shoots in looking for a takedown but Oliveira manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fofano's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Fofano is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Oliveira rolls with it to try and escape but Fofano cranks on the arm and Oliveira is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

After winning the bout, Kouassi Fofano thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
