Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joshua Turner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Masato Shahry!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shahry fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Turner keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Shahry is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Turner pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Joshua Turner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Masato Shahry.

Shahry is looking to get back to his feet here but Turner is keeping cool and he's managed to take Shahry's back.

Turner has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Turner has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Turner has the hooks in. Shahry is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Turner lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Shahry hold on?!

So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Turner seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Shahry for as long as he can get away with.
Shahry covers up after that shot from Turner.

Turner scores with punches and elbows.
Turner is not going to allow Shahry to sit and survive in this position.
Can Shahry hold on?! Turner is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

It looks like Masato Shahry has been cut.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Turner lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Shahry hold on?!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Turner smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Turner fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Shahry sprawls well initially but Turner persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Turner uses his free foot to push down on Shahry's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Shahry.

Shahry is breathing heavily.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Turner cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Turner takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Turner fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!


The cut above Masato Shahry's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Turner tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Joshua Turner just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Turner looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Shahry!

Masato Shahry's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Masato Shahry's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Joshua Turner!
