Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hornink Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and los de (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). de has chosen poisen as his entrance music. de has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. los de has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hornink Griffin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, los de!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
de misses with a series of wild punches.

Griffin looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for de!

Griffin with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Griffin takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Griffin swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and de is now in Griffin's guard. A big mistake from Griffin there, giving up the dominant position!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Griffin controlling de's posture.
de won't allow Griffin to sweep him here.
Griffin on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Griffin tries to get out of the position.

de has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Griffin is proving hard to escape from.
Griffin pulls de in close to prevent any damage.
Griffin is looking to stand back up but de counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Griffin.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Griffin kicks de off and gets back to his feet.
de looks gassed!

Griffin clinches.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Griffin lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down de.
Griffin is trying to break the clinch but de has him pressed against the cage.
A body shot lands from Griffin.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hornink Griffin dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Griffin scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Griffin stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Griffin gets a takedown into half guard.
Griffin is taking a breather. de says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
de is breathing heavily.
Griffin wants to get back to his feet.

Griffin trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Griffin wants to pass the guard but de is defending well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Griffin trying to control from half guard but de is working away.

Griffin is working for a kimura but de is defending it quite comfortably.
Griffin not doing much here.

Griffin wants to get back to his feet.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
de throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Griffin.
de walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.


It looks like los de has been cut.
de throws a series of punches but Griffin avoids them all with ease.
Griffin connects with a nice looking jab.
Griffin lands a two punch combo.
Griffin moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Griffin closes the distance and pushes de back into the cage.
Griffin is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Griffin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hornink Griffin dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on los de's cut.
That's time! Griffin's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Griffin clinches with his opponent.
de looks to throw an elbow but misses.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Griffin takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
A nice right hand lands inside from Griffin.

Griffin breaks from the clinch.
de throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Griffin counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Griffin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Griffin moves into the clinch successfully.

Griffin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Griffin drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
de takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
de can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Griffin controls the pace.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Griffin decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on de, up you get!
Griffin scores with a shot to the body.

Griffin rushes de and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Griffin tries for a takedown. No joy.
de creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Griffin gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Griffin not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Griffin stalling.
de tries to kick Griffin off in order to stand up. Griffin Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Griffin cracks de with a big elbow.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Griffin stands up and beckons de to his feet.
Griffin is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that de can do to turn this around?

Hornink Griffin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Griffin looking to punish the body of his opponent here but de is avoiding damage well.
Griffin throws an elbow but de slips to the side and avoids it well.

Griffin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by de, who protects the arm well.

Griffin looks up at the clock and then as de takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Griffin smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
los de has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Griffin stands up and beckons de to his feet.
Hornink Griffin is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Griffin cracks a nice hook into de's ribs.

And that's the end of the fight!
Hornink Griffin showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Griffin has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
