Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Mauricio Rocha and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barbosa bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Ferreira avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Barbosa.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

That's time! Ferreira's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Ferreira thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Barbosa looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Ferreira has picked Barbosa up and slammed him! Barbosa can't keep hold of the triangle and Ferreira manages to pass to side control!

Barbosa lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Barbosa wants to control the pace but Ferreira is squirming around nicely.
Ferreira holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Barbosa tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Joaquim Barbosa is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Ferreira is in all sorts of trouble here.
Barbosa goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Ferreira is on top in guard.

Barbosa escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ferreira gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Well Barbosa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
