Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aderbal Pedreira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bjorn Linus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Linus comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Throwdown - Forever kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Bjorn Linus is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Aderbal Pedreira! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bjorn Linus! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Linus misses with a jab, cross combination.
Pedreira changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Linus tries to avoid it but Pedreira manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Linus to the ground. Linus escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Linus misses with a few strikes there.
Linus misses with a two punch combination.
Pedreira avoids a punch combination nicely.
Linus tries to bum rush Pedreira with a series of wild strikes but Pedreira uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Pedreira really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Pedreira misses with a series of wild punches.
Pedreira is breathing heavily. Pedreira looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Linus swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Pedreira counters with a single leg into guard. Linus didn't expect that. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Linus wants to stand up but Pedreira is controlling him. Pedreira will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Pedreira thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Linus is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Pedreira is controlling him. Linus pushes Pedreira off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pedreira looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Linus is fending him off so far but Pedreira persists. Nope, Linus circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aderbal Pedreira. That's going to take a lot out of him. Linus throws a right and a left that Pedreira avoids nicely. Linus misses with a combination
and Pedreira counters with a two punch combo. Pedreira is trying hard to land a takedown here. Linus sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Pedreira is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Linus. Bjorn Linus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pedreira dips to his left and cracks Linus with an uppercut! Linus fails to land with a series of punches.
Linus misses with a combination
and Pedreira counters with a nice double leg into side control. Linus won't be happy with that. Pedreira is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Linus is trying to escape and Pedreira transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Linus is forced to tap! Nice work there by Pedreira! Very nice indeed!
