Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joza Smrk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wesley Broeders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joza Smrk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wesley Broeders! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Saam Ante and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smrk shoots in for a takedown but Broeders shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Smrk shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Broeders as he jumps to the side. Smrk defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Broeders. Broeders jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Smrk with a lazy takedown attempt and Broeders counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joza Smrk. That's going to take a lot out of him. Smrk stuffs the takedown attempt from Broeders. Broeders gets slowly back to his feet. Broeders lands a slapping body shot.
Smrk is breathing heavily. Broeders wants to clinch. No luck for Broeders with that takedown attempt. Smrk fails with the takedown and Broeders counters with a two punch combo. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Broeders misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Broeders gets a takedown into half guard. Smrk looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Broeders looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Smrk looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Broeders is trying to control the action in half guard but Smrk is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Smrk actively working from the bottom here. Broeders content to control rather than advance. Broeders seems to be looking for submissions.
Smrk is refusing to be controlled, as Broeders sits in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Broeders gets caught flat footed, as Smrk shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Broeders wants to sweep but no luck. Smrk drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Broeders manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Smrk has Broeders in his guard. Smrk is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Smrk has a closed guard, preventing Broeders from standing up. Smrk keeping moving, preventing Broeders from controlling successfully. Smrk escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Broeders gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Broeders must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smrk looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Smrk preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Broeders trying to control the position from guard on top but Smrk is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Broeders scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Broeders has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Smrk is proving hard to escape from. Broeders stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smrk swivels though and keeps the full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Broeders trying to control but Smrk is working from the bottom.

Broeders is looking to work some ground and pound but Smrk has wrist control. Smrk had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Broeders is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Smrk Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Broeders's back instead. Broeders is trying to break free.
Broeders fending off the submission attempt from Smrk. Smrk has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Broeders has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wesley Broeders dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Broeders is defended easily by Smrk. Nice takedown defense from Broeders. No joy for Smrk on that attempt. Smrk bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Smrk is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Broeders knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Broeders is looking to reverse the position. A bit of a lull in the action here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Broeders is trying to get back to half guard. Smrk tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Smrk has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's one minute gone in the round. Broeders keeps Smrk under control for a moment. Broeders tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Smrk wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Broeders struggling a bit here. Smrk thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Smrk is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Broeders has escaped the position, nice work there. Broeders is trying to control Smrk's posture but Smrk avoids it. Joza Smrk overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Smrk working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. You can see the frustration on Broeders's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Smrk tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Broeders gets back to half guard. Smrk is looking for a kimura here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smrk seems to be working for a kimura but Broeders defends the submission attempt. Broeders is controlling Smrk's trapped leg to prevent Smrk from advancing to side control. Smrk looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Smrk is looking for a kimura but Broeders is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Smrk to get the leverage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Smrk seems to be looking for submissions.
Broeders looks like he's trying to stand up.
Broeders really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smrk. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Smrk dives in and grabs Broeders's left leg, looking for a takedown. Broeders pushes down on Smrk's head and hops out. Broeders fails to land the takedown. Broeders turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Broeders throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like Joza Smrk has been cut. Broeders closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Smrk is positioning himself to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Wesley Broeders will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Joza Smrk's cut. That's time! Smrk's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Broeders doesn't manage to clinch there - Smrk circles away.
Broeders shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Smrk but Smrk pushes him off and we're back to square one. Smrk fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Broeders lands a head kick!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Smrk. Broeders shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Broeders changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smrk tries to avoid it but Broeders manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smrk to the ground. Smrk escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Joza Smrk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wesley Broeders. Smrk leaves Broeders with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Smrk shoots in and bounces Broeders off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Broeders looking to control.

That's one minute gone in the round. Broeders wants to get back to his feet but Smrk is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Smrk postures up.
Smrk thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Broeders wants to sweep here but Smrk controlling him for the moment. Smrk drops back looking for a leg! Broeders is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Broeders manages to kick Smrk off! Smrk jumps back into Broeders's guard. Smrk is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Broeders is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Broeders has escaped and now he's on top!

Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Broeders. Broeders wanted to stand there but Smrk had control of the position. Smrk looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Smrk is looking for a triangle here but Broeders uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Broeders passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Smrk!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Broeders lands with some strikes. Smrk is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Smrk regains half guard. Broeders is working for a submission of some sort.
Smrk looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Smrk actively working from the bottom here. Joza Smrk has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Wesley Broeders is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Broeders tries to stand and escape but Smrk is controlling the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Joza Smrk showed his dominance in that final round. I think Broeders has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
