Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rocky Schibetta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Russel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Rocky Schibetta! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, James Russel! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Sam Margolis and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schibetta getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Russel tries to bum rush Schibetta with a series of wild strikes but Schibetta uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Russel throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Schibetta. Schibetta misses with a takedown attempt - Russel sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. A left and a right from Russel both land. Nice combination. James Russel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Russel rushes Schibetta and presses him up against the cage. Russel effectively controlling the action here. Russel creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Russel misses with an elbow strike.

Schibetta changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Russel fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Jab by Schibetta. Russel misses with a few strikes there.
Schibetta slips under a jab. Russel forces Schibetta back against the cage and clinches. Russel's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Schibetta is trying to break the clinch but Russel is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schibetta ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Schibetta no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Russel trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Russel trying to control but Schibetta is working from the bottom. Russel is working Schibetta over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Russel with a flurry of punches that miss. Schibetta keeping moving, preventing Russel from controlling successfully. Schibetta throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Russel is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Schibetta has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Russel is looking to defend but Schibetta has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Russel! Schibetta pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Russel taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Rocky Schibetta!
