Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jean Leblanc! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Allen! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Hirohito Nitta and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Allen misses with a double jab.
Allen looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Allen throws a nice looking combination but Leblanc bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Allen throws a series of punches but Leblanc moves out of range. Leblanc shoots in but no luck this time. Leblanc looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Allen misses with a few strikes there.
John Allen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Allen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Allen slaps away a takedown attempt from Leblanc, before circling back to the center of the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jean Leblanc. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Allen works over Leblanc's head and body with a nice combination. Allen moves into the clinch successfully.
Leblanc has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Allen is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Allen prevents a takedown attempt there.
Leblanc goes for a takedown attempt but Allen pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Allen cracks the inside of Leblanc's front leg. Leblanc swats away the attempt to clinch by Allen. Leblanc changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Allen tries to avoid it but Leblanc manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Allen to the ground. Allen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Allen throws a series of punches but Leblanc moves out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Allen dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Leblanc. Allen thuds his right hand into Leblanc's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Leblanc looks for a takedown but Allen sprawls well. Allen has taken the fight to the clinch.
Leblanc has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Allen avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Leblanc closes this distance looking for a takedown but Allen circles away. A nice inside leg kick there by Allen. That's going to slow Leblanc down. Leblanc scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Leblanc wants to work for an arm triangle but Allen is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Leblanc thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Leblanc will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Leblanc thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Allen's head. Allen tries to get to full guard but Leblanc has control of the leg. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Leblanc looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Allen is fending him off so far but Leblanc persists. Nope, Allen circles away and we're back to standing. Allen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Leblanc circles away quickly and effectively. Leblanc fails with the takedown. Allen is working the combinations to good effect here. Leblanc scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Allen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

A frustrated look appears on Leblanc's face as he tries to break the clinch. Allen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Leblanc shoots in looking for a takedown. Allen tries to sprawl out of it but Leblanc keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Allen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Allen misses with the combination.

Leblanc tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Leblanc throws a big right hand that misses. Allen looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Leblanc has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Allen throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Allen wants to sweep here but Leblanc controlling him for the moment. Leblanc throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Allen works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Leblanc shoots for a double leg takedown but Allen sprawls well. He's pushed Leblanc's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Allen rushes Leblanc and presses him up against the ropes. Leblanc is looking to break free of the clinch but Allen has double underhooks. Leblanc changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Allen fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leblanc tries to clinch up but Allen circles away and keeps his distance. Allen rushes Leblanc and presses him up against the ropes. Allen lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Leblanc is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Jean Leblanc has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! John Allen is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Allen trying to control the position from guard on top but Leblanc is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jean Leblanc. I think Allen has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
