Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dakota Finley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miles Boston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Finley comes into the arena with Johnny I hardly knew ya blaring out of the sound system. Dakota Finley has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 1, fighting out of New York, Dakota Finley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Miles Boston! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Joseph Jones and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boston throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Finley. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Boston. Finley shrugs it off though. A nice inside leg kick there by Boston. That's going to slow Finley down. A good leg kick by Boston. Boston swinging wilding here.
Boston looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Finley drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Boston keeping moving, preventing Finley from controlling successfully. Finley is breathing heavily. Boston pushes Finley off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Boston!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Boston throws a series of punches but Finley moves out of range. Boston throws a series of punches but Finley avoids them all with ease.
That's one minute gone in the round. Finley walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Boston misses with a few strikes there.
Boston shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Finley counters with a low kick, right behind Boston 's knee. Boston lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Finley circles away quickly and effectively. Finley will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Boston misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Finley counters with a slapping leg kick. A nice inside leg kick there by Finley. That's going to slow Boston down. Finley shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Finley showed some decent athleticism there. Finley is trying to control. Boston wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Finley trying to control from half guard but Boston is working away.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Boston looks to land a combination but Finley avoids it well. Boston throws a nice looking combination but Finley bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Boston chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Finley can pounce on him.
Boston throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Boston pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Miles Boston seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boston fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Finley misses with a straight right. Finley fails to land with a series of punches.
Boston will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Finley has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Boston is trying to keep an underhook but Finley manages to get the takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Dakota Finley will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Boston looks to land a body kick but Finley moved away. Boston moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Boston keeps Finley at a distance using the push kick. Boston swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Finley counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Finley. Finley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Boston swivels though and keeps the full guard. Boston keeping moving, preventing Finley from controlling successfully. Finley is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Boston is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Finley throwing strikes from guard but Boston blocks nicely. Finley is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Boston is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Boston has escaped and now he's on top! Finley escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Boston gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Boston wanted to stand there but Finley had control of the position. Finley trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Boston must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Finley trying to strike off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Finley is on top in guard.
Finley is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Boston is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Boston has escaped and now he's on top! Boston won't allow Finley to sweep him here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Finley looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Boston wanted to stand there but Finley had control of the position. Finley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Finley working for a triangle but Boston defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boston tries to stand but Finley is controlling from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Dakota Finley will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Boston throws a right and a left that Finley avoids nicely. Dakota Finley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Boston listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. No luck for Finley with that takedown attempt. Boston cracks Finley with an open hand slap. Boston bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Finley tries to close the distance and clinch up but Boston swats him away and circles back towards the center. Boston displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Finley. Boston throws a series of punches but Finley avoids them all with ease. Boston lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Good leg kick by Boston there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Finley will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dakota Finley. That's going to take a lot out of him. Boston's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Boston duly obliges. Finley scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Finley keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Finley prevents Boston from standing back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Finley landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Boston explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Boston throws a right hand that Finley ducks under and follows up with a left that Finley also avoids with ease. Miles Boston seems to be getting the better of the standup. Finley will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Boston moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Boston digs a good hook to Finley's body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boston misses with a double jab
and Finley counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Boston! Finley is landing with some decent strikes but Boston is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Boston is squirming around, avoiding Finley's attempts to control the action. Boston tries to buck Finley off but he can't manage it. Finley in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Finley with the ground and pound from mount. Finley swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Boston is now in Finley's guard. A big mistake from Finley there, giving up the dominant position! Finley throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Miles Boston has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Finley wants to sweep here but Boston controlling him for the moment. Finley is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dakota Finley. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Finley, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
