The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Timmy feints and as Santos raises his hands in defense, Timmy changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Santos looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Timmy stands up from Santos's guard - Timmy perhaps looking for a knockout.

Timmy closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Santos wants a takedown.
Santos tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Timmy smiles and moves away.
Santos gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Timmy counters with a takedown into side control.
Iceice Timmy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fabinho Santos.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Timmy cracks Santos with an elbow. That is naaassty.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Timmy passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Santos!

Timmy is working for a guillotine from mount but Santos frees his head quite easily.
Timmy controlling his opponent.
Timmy pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Timmy looking to finish Santos with some ground and pound. This is bad for Santos!

Timmy is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Santos can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Timmy's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Santos is looking to get to half guard.
Timmy lands a nice shot to the head.

Timmy has hold of Santos's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Santos manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Santos is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Timmy locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Santos is forced to tap!
