Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Scootsie Doubleday!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Steve Erwin and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doubleday throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Doubleday tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sotiropoulos was well out of range. Poor timing from Doubleday.
Sotiropoulos avoids a punch combination nicely.
Nice takedown defense from Doubleday. No joy for Sotiropoulos on that attempt.
Doubleday throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Sotiropoulos tumbling to the canvas!


It looks like Geoge Sotiropoulos has been cut.
Doubleday wants to stand and escape but instead Sotiropoulos has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Doubleday is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Sotiropoulos dives into side control.

Sotiropoulos tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Doubleday is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Sotiropoulos asserts his dominance and retains side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Doubleday is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Doubleday tries to escape back to his feet but Sotiropoulos has kept hold of him... Oh, now he's got Doubleday's back and is looking for the choke... Is it? Is it sunk in? YES! Doubleday is tapping! Sotiropoulos saw the opportunity and took it - ruthless!
