Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rashad Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davis comes to the cage accompanied by Im On It. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! West takes a swing at Davis's ribcage but misses. West throws a head kick that misses. Davis shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches West napping and manages to drive through into side control! Davis is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, West has escaped the position, nice work there. Davis in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Davis is trying to get an arm triangle but West is defending well. West tries to buck Davis off but Davis is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Davis tries to move into full mount but can't pass West's legs. West is trying to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. West avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Davis. Davis wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by West, who protects the arm well. West prevents Davis from moving into mount. Davis decides to take the fight back to the feet. West jabbing away but nothing is landing. Peter West is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nice sprawl there from West as Davis shoots in.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. West tries a head kick but it misses.
Davis shoots in for a takedown but West shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Davis is breathing heavily. Davis ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. West throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Davis stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. West follows into mount!
Davis is rocked!
It looks like Rashad Davis has been cut. West controlling the pace for now. Oh Davis is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Davis seems to have got his legs back now. Davis tries to reverse the position but West maintains control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. West won't let Davis get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. West prevents Davis from getting the reversal. West controlling the pace for now. Davis tries to reverse the position but West maintains control. West tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Davis tries to reverse the position but West maintains control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. West takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Davis is working to get back to half guard.
West content just to control the position here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Peter West dominated that round. The cut man is working on Rashad Davis's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
West throws a sloppy head kick and Davis moves out of range easily. A head kick misses from West. Ouch! a nice leg kick from West, right into the meat.
West scores with a nice strike. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. West looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. West cracks Davis with an uppercut from hell and Davis crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of West's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Rashad Davis's cut is getting worse. West stopping the sweep attempt from Davis. West looking to control the position here, rather than advance. West really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Davis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. West won't allow Davis to sweep him here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis being controlled here, momentarily. West tries to stand but Davis is controlling from the bottom. West must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Davis is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. West is looking to stand up but Davis won't let him. Davis might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. West is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. West trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. West content to stall in guard here.
Despite being in the dominant position, Peter West just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. West bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. West tries a head kick but it misses.
Jab, jab by West - just one landing.
Rashad Davis's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. West lands with a thumping leg kick.
West lands a high kick to the side of Davis's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! West dives into guard, looking to finish.
Davis is rocked! West has been the more effective fighter overall so far. West controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Davis is looking for a triangle but West pushes his legs off easily.
West seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. West stopping the sweep attempt from Davis. West is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. West stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Davis swivels though and keeps the full guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Davis is on top in guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! West is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Davis tries to free his leg and advance position but West is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Peter West showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Rashad Davis's cut. That's time! Back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
West pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from West. Davis shrugs it off though. West bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Davis's head. West scores with a jab to the body. This has been an exciting period of action! West listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Jeez, Rashad Davis's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked. West throws a shot to the body.
Davis chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before West can pounce on him.
West lands a nice looking kick to the body. Davis takes a step back to recover. West knocks Davis to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Rashad Davis's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Peter West!
