PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Walsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and PeraltahH Miranda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Walsh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, PeraltahH Miranda!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miranda shoots in looking for a takedown. Walsh tries to sprawl out of it but Miranda keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Walsh manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Walsh misses with a takedown attempt
and Miranda counters with a series of strikes. Walsh will be more careful next time no doubt.
Walsh tries to clinch up but Miranda circles away and keeps his distance.
Walsh throws a leg kick which misses Miranda's front leg but catches the back leg as Miranda tries to avoid it.

Walsh rushes Miranda and presses him up against the cage.

Miranda with a flurry of punches that miss.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Walsh has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Miranda can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Walsh is trying to control the position but Miranda postures up.
Walsh throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Miranda decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Walsh throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Miranda tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Walsh counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Miranda's guard now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Miranda wants to get back to his feet but Walsh passes into half guard.
Well, if Walsh is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Walsh thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Miranda wants to hold on but Walsh pushes him away.

PeraltahH Miranda showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Walsh pushes Miranda off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

and Walsh counters with a big head kick but Miranda shrugs it off.

Walsh feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

PeraltahH Miranda comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Miranda has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
