Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buduu Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vova Aushev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Buduu Liddell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vova Aushev!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Sergei Dronov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slow jab from Liddell misses its intended target.
Liddell slaps away a takedown attempt from Aushev, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Oooh a lovely combination from Liddell sends Aushev down but not out. Liddell dives into side control looking to finish.
It looks like Vova Aushev has been cut.
Liddell tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Liddell has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Aushev regains half guard.
Ground and pound from Liddell.
Aushev wants to control but Liddell is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Liddell prevents Aushev from improving his position.
Liddell trying to mount his opponent but Aushev defends it.
Liddell wants to stand but Aushev has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Aushev is looking to improve his position.
Aushev is in trouble now - Liddell has advanced to mount!
Liddell is working for a guillotine from mount but Aushev frees his head quite easily.
Liddell lands a big shot there that rocks Aushev but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Aushev is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Liddell punishing his opponent with strikes.

Liddell jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Aushev is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Aushev and Liddell has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Aushev looks gassed!
Liddell tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Liddell is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Aushev has escaped the position, nice work there.
Liddell happy to just control the position for now.
Liddell has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Aushev is trying to control Liddell's posture but Liddell avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Liddell is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Aushev knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The referee asks Liddell politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Liddell prefers to stall for the moment though.
Liddell working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Aushev avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Liddell.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Liddell is working to tighten is grip on Aushev's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Aushev has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Liddell is really squeezing tight and eventually Aushev passes out! Liddell breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
