Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ostias Comopanes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Comopanes might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Plush. Jackson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Helter Skelter - The Beatles. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ostias Comopanes! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jeff Jackson! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jackson tries to clinch up but Comopanes circles away and keeps his distance. Comopanes avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Jackson closes the distance but Comopanes moves to the side and Comopanes counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Jackson wants to stand and escape but Comopanes is having none of it. Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Comopanes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Comopanes trying to control but Jackson is working from the bottom. Comopanes prevents Jackson from getting back to his feet. Comopanes forces his way into half guard. Jackson is looking to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Comopanes is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jackson is trying to stand up here but Comopanes is controlling him well. Comopanes wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jackson keeps working. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Comopanes postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Jackson to stand up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Comopanes clinches but Jackson breaks the clinch and Jackson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Ostias Comopanes has been cut. Jackson cracks Comopanes with a right hand to the side of the head. Jackson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jackson darts in trying to clinch and Comopanes moves into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson is fighting off a takedown attempt but Comopanes is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Jackson to the mat. Jackson regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Comopanes is standing up over Jackson. Jackson looks to escape but Comopanes dives into side control.
Comopanes has knee on belly and moves into mount. Comopanes unloads with some shots from mount but Jackson bucks and avoids them well.
Jackson wants to hold on but Comopanes pushes him away. Jackson is squirming around, avoiding Comopanes's attempts to control the action. Jackson tries to improve his position but Comopanes has taken his back! Comopanes has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Jackson tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Comopanes pushes Jackson away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ostias Comopanes! Ostias Comopanes retains his lightweight title!
