Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mika Venom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Mauricio Rocha and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Venom trying to control from the bottom.
Hunt wants to control but Venom is keeping him busy.
Hunt wants to stand up but Venom has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Hunt uses his free foot to push down on Venom's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Venom.
Venom wants to control but Hunt is having none of it.
Venom gets back to half guard.
Hunt not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

The referee warns Venom that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Venom is squirming around, avoiding Hunt's attempts to control the action.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Venom wants to free his trapped foot but Hunt is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Venom stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hunt swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Venom looking to sit in guard and control but Hunt gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Hunt seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Hunt wants to control from the top but Venom keeps moving.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Venom feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Hunt working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Venom doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Venom manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Hunt looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
