Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Valentine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Caschera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Valentine comes to the cage accompanied by Ice Cream Paintjob . Caschera has chosen Crimson King by Demons & Wizards limited edition as his entrance music. Max Caschera is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Valentine! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Max Caschera! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Bruno Hogan and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Caschera avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Valentine is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
It looks like Max Caschera has been cut. Caschera drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Valentine throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Caschera stops Valentine from standing up. Valentine is trying to control the position but Caschera postures up. Caschera is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Caschera stopping the sweep attempt from Valentine. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Caschera stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Valentine swivels though and keeps the full guard. Valentine looking to hit a scissor sweep but Caschera is one step ahead there. Valentine wants to stand but Caschera is controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Valentine keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Valentine looks to land a left hand but Caschera moved out of range nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Valentine goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Caschera shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Valentine sprawls well. Valentine wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Caschera gets slowly back to his feet. Caschera looks gassed! Valentine shoots in for a takedown. Caschera has his takedown stuffed and Valentine counters with a straight right hand. John Valentine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Caschera. Valentine tries for a takedown but Caschera sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Caschera shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Valentine is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Valentine is looking to control Caschera's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Valentine avoid being mounted? Valentine looks like he's trying to stand up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Valentine has one foot on Caschera's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Valentine fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Valentine moves in looking to clinch but Caschera pushes him off. Valentine tries to close the distance and clinch but Caschera swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Caschera lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Caschera throws a left and a right that both miss
and Valentine counters with a three punch combo that has Caschera backing up. Caschera nods at Valentine to acknowledge the strikes. Caschera throws a sloppy head kick and Valentine moves out of range easily. Caschera scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Caschera works his way into full mount! Caschera looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Caschera looking for a guillotine from mount but Valentine is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Caschera is going olschool here, as he tries to force Valentine to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Valentine shrugs it off. Caschera looking to control but Valentine is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Valentine trying to punch from the bottom. They're landing but they're really not going to hurt Caschera. Caschera prevents Valentine from getting the reversal. Caschera landing strikes from the mount. Caschera stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Valentine displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Caschera.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Caschera tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Valentine swivels and escapes. Max Caschera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Valentine fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Caschera avoids it really well and circles away. Caschera rushes Valentine and presses him up against the cage. Valentine can't break the clinch.

Caschera breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Valentine gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Caschera to score an easy takedown into full guard. Caschera gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Valentine closes the distance but Caschera moves to the side and Caschera counters with a nice double leg into side control. Valentine won't be happy with that. Caschera prevents Valentine from escaping the position. Caschera stands up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Max Caschera dominated that round. The cut man is working on Max Caschera's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Valentine misses with a takedown and Caschera counters with a nice double leg into side control. Valentine won't be happy with that. Caschera is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Valentine has escaped the position, nice work there. Valentine struggling a bit here. Caschera decides to stand up, so the ref orders Valentine to his feet. Caschera thows a body shot but no joy. Caschera dives in and grabs Valentine's left leg, looking for a takedown. Valentine pushes down on Caschera's head and hops out. Valentine moves into the clinch. Valentine is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Caschera gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Caschera breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Caschera tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Caschera circles away from the clinch attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Caschera doesn't succeed with the takedown and Valentine counters with a nice body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Caschera throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Caschera closes this distance looking for a takedown but Valentine circles away. John Valentine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Caschera. Valentine tries to clinch but Caschera moves out of range. Caschera throws a right hand that Valentine ducks under and follows up with a left that Valentine also avoids with ease. Valentine forces Caschera back against the cage and clinches. Valentine's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Valentine with a poor takedown and Caschera counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Valentine's guard now. Caschera thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Caschera drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Caschera jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Valentine is trying to keep Caschera in close.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Caschera closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Valentine to the mat! Valentine manages to get full guard. Caschera stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Valentine swivels though and keeps the full guard. Caschera is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Valentine throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Valentine has momentary wrist control but Caschera slips an elbow through the middle. Valentine escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Caschera gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Valentine trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Valentine is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Valentine has momentary wrist control but Caschera slips an elbow through the middle. Caschera gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Horrible takedown by Caschera or perhaps it was just good defense by Valentine which made him look bad. Valentine with a lazy takedown attempt and Caschera counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Caschera seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Valentine is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
