Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Conlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and karl morph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). karl morph told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kevin Conlin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of London, karl morph! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Atkins and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Conlin will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Conlin fails with the takedown. morph looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Conlin is defending against the submission attempts here by morph.
morph is trying to work for a kimura but Conlin is defending well.
Conlin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. morph is working away from the top position though. morph trying to control the action but Conlin is working from the bottom. Conlin is looking to control morph's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Conlin avoid being mounted?
That's one minute gone in the round. morph wants to work for an arm triangle but Conlin is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Conlin with a lazy takedown attempt and morph counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by morph. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevin Conlin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Conlin wants to sweep here but morph controlling him for the moment. morph wants to control from the top but Conlin keeps moving. Conlin throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. morph has gone for a leg lock! Conlin slips out almost immediately though and dives into morph's guard. Conlin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. morph has an active guard here but Conlin has managed to pass into half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Conlin shoots and misses and morph counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Conlin's guard now. morph has gone for a leg lock! Conlin slips out almost immediately though and dives into morph's guard. morph keeping moving, preventing Conlin from controlling successfully. morph has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Conlin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Conlin really is a fat lump. Conlin trying to control the position from guard on top but morph is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Conlin doesn't succeed with the takedown and morph counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. morph is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. morph passes to full mount! Conlin tries to hold on but morph pushes him away. morph jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Conlin is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Conlin and morph has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Conlin manages to get back to half guard. morph is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Conlin looking for submissions off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

morph tries to free his leg and advance position but Conlin is retaining full guard. Conlin is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst morph is controlling him. morph drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Conlin dives on top into guard. Conlin wants to control from the top but morph keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. morph looking for subs off his back but Conlin has passed one foot through into half guard.
Well, if Conlin is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

A close second round but karl morph will probably get the nod - 10:9. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

He's being very persistent here but Conlin manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Conlin got a little sloppy there for a moment and morph has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Conlin has managed to get both his arms back between morph's legs - danger averted. morph had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Conlin is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. morph Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Conlin's back instead. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Conlin tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. morph throws a big right hand that misses.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. morph looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Conlin! morph swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Conlin is now in morph's guard. A big mistake from morph there, giving up the dominant position! Conlin won't allow morph to sweep him here. karl morph is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Conlin wants to control from the top but morph keeps moving. morph looking to hit a scissor sweep but Conlin is one step ahead there. morph trying to keep a closed guard but Conlin is proving a slippery customer.
And that's the end of the fight! karl morph comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well morph has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
