The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Evans shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Curtis but Curtis pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Evans jumps guard and drags Curtis to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Evans escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Curtis gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Curtis is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

and Evans counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Curtis!

Evans is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Curtis can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Curtis is squirming around, avoiding Evans's attempts to control the action.

Evans stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Evans tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Curtis swivels and escapes.

Evans has hold of Curtis's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Curtis seems comfortable defending it but Evans has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Curtis is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Curtis is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Evans couldn't care less - he's delighted!
