Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Jill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jari Nieminen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nieminen is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Raised Fist - Wounds. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Nard Betker.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jill shoots in for a takedown but Nieminen shows good takedown defense.
Jill fails in his attempt to clinch.

Nieminen fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jill sprawls well initially but Nieminen persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Jill is looking for a sweep. Nieminen is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Nieminen wants to stand up but Jill is controlling the position.
Jill wants to improve his position but Nieminen is controlling well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nieminen content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Nieminen feints and as Jill raises his hands in defense, Nieminen changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Jill working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nieminen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nieminen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Jill looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Nieminen has picked Jill up and slammed him! Jill can't keep hold of the triangle and Nieminen manages to pass to side control!

Jill has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Nieminen has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Jill is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Nieminen is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Nieminen is squirming around, avoiding Jill's attempts to control the action.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Jacob Jill just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Jill looks to clinch

and Nieminen counters with a single leg into guard. Jill didn't expect that.
Jill is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Nieminen is controlling him.

Nieminen is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Jill had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Nieminen is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Jill Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Nieminen's back instead.

Jill is working for a rear naked choke. Nieminen is not defending it well and Jill has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Nieminen refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Nieminen's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
