Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dan Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes to the cage accompanied by Let The Bodies Hit The Floor. Dan Smith had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dan Smith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bob White! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! White throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Smith was covering up waiting for the punch and White finishes the takedown easily into guard. Smith is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and White defends well. Smith not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
White preventing the sweep. Smith keeping moving, preventing White from controlling successfully. White stops Smith from standing up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Smith manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
White tries to reverse the position but Smith maintains control. Smith has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of White's face.

That's one minute gone in the round. Smith scoring with strikes but White is staying in there. Smith unloads with some shots from mount but White bucks and avoids them well.
Smith throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. White is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
White blocking the ground and pound. Smith working for a guillotine from mount but White is in no mood to give up. Smith goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now White is on top in guard.
White drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and White jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. White gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Smith keeping moving, preventing White from controlling successfully. Smith looking to control.
Smith wants to sweep here but White controlling him for the moment. White sitting in guard, not really doing much. White trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. White tries for a takedown but Smith sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. White shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Smith defends it nicely. White looks for a takedown but Smith sprawls well. Dan Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob White.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Smith swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Smith throws a combination but it was largely blocked by White. Smith slaps away a takedown attempt from White, before circling back to the center of the mat. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. White shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Smith defends it nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from White. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice sprawl there from Smith as White shoots in.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Smith lands a big uppercut and White crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but White looks OK. Smith waves White back to his feet!
White is rocked!
It looks like Bob White has been cut. White looks for a takedown but Smith sprawls well. White takes one to the chin there. White is still on wobbly legs! Can Smith finish him? Smith scores with a nice head shot. White seems to have recovered his senses. Smith throws a lazy right hand but White sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith tried to score with a low kick but White checks it. Smith cracks White with an open hand slap. White darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Smith moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. White won't allow Smith to get back to his feet. Smith looking to hit a scissor sweep but White is one step ahead there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. White has gone for a leg lock! Smith slips out almost immediately though and dives into White's guard. White looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

White has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Smith can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Smith thows a big elbow that misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dan Smith dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Bob White's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Nice straight punches there by Smith. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Smith. Smith lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Smith is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. White showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Smith.

Dan Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Smith attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
That's one minute gone in the round. A leg kick checked by White. Nice defenses there by White. Smith connects with a right hand. White shakes it off. White shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Smith as he avoids it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. White slips under a jab from Smith. Smith throws a lazy right hand but White sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. White moves away from the strike by Smith. White changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smith tries to avoid it but White manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smith to the ground. Smith escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Dan Smith is winning the standup battle so far. Smith throws a series of punches but White avoids them all with ease.
That's three minutes gone in the round. White shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Smith as he avoids it easily. Dan Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob White. White takes one to the chin there. Smith works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. White shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Smith keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. White takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's four minutes gone in the round. White closes the distance and clinches up with Smith, looking for a takedown. White pushes Smith against the cage but Smith circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Smith throws and low kick but White moves out of range easily. Smith misses the jab. Smith thows a body shot but no joy.
And that's the end of the fight! Dan Smith showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Smith, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
