The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Alexandre Firmino and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McAdams shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ja pinned against the cage. Ja gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
McAdams looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
McAdams fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nelson McAdams. That's going to take a lot out of him.

McAdams shoots in but Ja avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Ja is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Ja clinches up with McAdams and pushes him back against the cage.

McAdams takes a shot to the head.
McAdams jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ja walks away with a smile on his face. McAdams gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Ja lands a jab to McAdams's midsection.
Ja closes the distance and clinches.
Ja pushes McAdams back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Ja presses McAdams against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Ja lands with a short shot to the head.
Ja lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Ja lands a body punch.
McAdams is breathing heavily.
Ja is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ja scores with a nice hook to the head.
Ja escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ja closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ja swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ja rushes McAdams with punches - McAdams moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, McAdams goes down! Ja follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pablo Ja!
