Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tommie Karlsson!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Alexandre Firmino and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karlsson closes the distance and clinches up with Gorbachev, looking for a takedown. Karlsson pushes Gorbachev against the cage but Gorbachev circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Gorbachev has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Karlsson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gorbachev is on top in guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Gorbachev feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Karlsson has control of Gorbachev's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Gorbachev regains control of the situation pretty easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

I think Gorbachev has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
