Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Victor Drazen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nigel Smalls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Victor Drazen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nigel Smalls! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smalls fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Smalls shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Drazen as he avoids it easily. Victor Drazen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Smalls closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Smalls lands in his opponent's guard. Smalls looking to pass the guard. Drazen is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Smalls is controlling him. Drazen keeping moving, preventing Smalls from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Drazen tries to land a sweep but no joy. Smalls is pushing down on Drazen's leg trying to pass to half guard. Drazen is fighting to maintain full guard but Smalls has managed to sneak the leg through. Smalls is looking to take a break and control but Drazen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Drazen on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Drazen tries to get out of the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Drazen has taken the fight to the clinch.
Drazen blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Smalls prevents Drazen from breaking the clinch. Smalls has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Drazen avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Victor Drazen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nigel Smalls. Drazen content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Smalls tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Drazen manages to break the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smalls shoots in for a takedown but Drazen shows good takedown defense. Smalls looks gassed! Drazen slaps away a takedown attempt from Smalls, before circling back to the center of the mat. Smalls shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Drazen as he jumps to the side. Drazen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Drazen fails to land with a series of punches.
Smalls wants to clinch but Drazen slips to the side and Drazen counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Smalls! Smalls is trying to stand up. Drazen unloads with some shots from mount but Smalls bucks and avoids them well.
Drazen tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment. Drazen stands up from mount. Strange move.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Drazen throws a wild body kick that Smalls sees coming a mile off. Drazen tries to clinch but Smalls moves out of range. Drazen could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Drazen closes the distance and clinches. Drazen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Smalls shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Drazen's guard. Drazen has Smalls pulled in close to control his posture. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Smalls accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Drazen is looking to stand up but Smalls isn't so interested in that idea. Drazen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Smalls can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smalls passes into half guard. Smalls is taking a breather. Drazen says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Drazen keeping hold of Smalls's head, controlling as best he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Victor Drazen dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Smalls fails with the takedown. Victor Drazen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Smalls takes a shot right to the bread basket. Drazen takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Smalls is looking to clinch. Smalls shoots in looking for a takedown. Drazen tries to sprawl out of it but Smalls keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Drazen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Crunch! Drazen slams his shin into Smalls's torso. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Smalls takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
It looks like Nigel Smalls has been cut. A punch combination from Drazen misses. Drazen closes the distance and clinches. Smalls tries for a takedown. No joy.
Victor Drazen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nigel Smalls. Drazen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Drazen with a lazy takedown attempt and Smalls counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Smalls takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Drazen clinches up against the cage. Drazen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Smalls shoots in but no luck this time. Drazen closes the distance and lands a one-two. Drazen wants to clinch up but Smalls keeps it at a distance. Drazen stuffs the takedown. Drazen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Smalls. Drazen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Smalls throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Drazen sees it coming and avoids it easily. Drazen swinging wilding here.
Drazen throws a low kick, looking for Smalls's leg but Smalls calmly moves out of range. Smalls fails with the takedown and Drazen counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Drazen.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smalls drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Drazen gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Drazen jumps into guard, dragging Smalls to the mat.
Smalls wants to control from the top but Drazen keeps moving. Drazen pulls Smalls in to control the position. Drazen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Smalls on the ground. Smalls pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Drazen is keeping the position for now. Drazen looking to hit a scissor sweep but Smalls is one step ahead there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smalls advances to half guard. Drazen is trying to stand.
Smalls is looking for a kimura here.
Smalls wants to lay and pray for a moment but Drazen keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Smalls stops Drazen from getting back to his feet.
Smalls is looking for a kimura but Drazen is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Smalls to get the leverage. Smalls wants to lay and pray for a moment but Drazen keeps working. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Smalls missing with the ground and pound from half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Victor Drazen dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Nigel Smalls's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Smalls clinches up with Drazen and pushes him back against the cage. Smalls has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Drazen avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Drazen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Smalls circles away from the clinch attempt and Smalls holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Drazen can't get the takedown.
Smalls's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Drazen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Smalls. Drazen avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Smalls fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Drazen lands a two punch combo.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Smalls dodges the punch combination from Drazen.
Smalls tries for a takedown but Drazen sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Victor Drazen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nigel Smalls.

and Smalls makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Drazen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smalls tries to avoid it but Drazen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smalls to the ground. Smalls escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Smalls is trying hard to land a takedown here. Drazen sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Victor Drazen is winning the standup battle so far. Drazen darts in and clinches Smalls up against the cage. Drazen blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Smalls has Drazen pressed against the cage, preventing Drazen from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Smalls jumps guard and drags Drazen to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smalls lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Drazen! Smalls with the ground and pound from mount. Smalls landing strikes, looking to finish! Smalls trying to control but Drazen is having none of it. Smalls with good strikes from the mount here! Victor Drazen is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smalls wants to take Drazen's back but he can't do it this time. You get the feeling that Drazen really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Smalls controlling his opponent. Smalls working for a submission but Drazen is keeping him at bay.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Smalls jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Drazen is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Drazen and Smalls has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Nigel Smalls has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Smalls tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Smalls tries to score with some ground and pound. Drazen controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Nigel Smalls. I think Drazen has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
