Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cheick Kongo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel The Rambler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The Rambler is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by FACE Fighting. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cheick Kongo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Samuel The Rambler!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kongo misses with a two punch combination.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Kongo misses with a series of wild punches.

The Rambler clinches up against the cage.

The Rambler has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Kongo is trying to keep an underhook but The Rambler manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Well, if The Rambler is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The Rambler trying to control the action but Kongo is working from the bottom.
The Rambler working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Kongo has hold of The Rambler's hands but The Rambler slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

The Rambler misses with a head shot. Kongo uses the momentum to regain guard.
Kongo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The Rambler throws a strike but Kongo rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The Rambler wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The Rambler bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kongo's guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
The Rambler content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
The Rambler postures up and lands a big shot to Kongo's brow.
Kongo avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The Rambler sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The Rambler scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

The Rambler with a nice head shot there.
The Rambler stands up over Kongo, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The Rambler makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The Rambler working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
The Rambler is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The Rambler has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Kongo keeping moving, preventing The Rambler from controlling successfully.
The Rambler lands a couple of decent looking shots.
The Rambler forces his way into half guard.
The Rambler perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

The Rambler is trying to control the action in half guard but Kongo is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The Rambler is controlling the pace.
Kongo is not content to let The Rambler control the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Despite being in the dominant position, Samuel The Rambler just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Samuel The Rambler dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



The Rambler shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kongo napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The Rambler works to advance to full mount. Kongo defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
The Rambler lands a big elbow.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, The Rambler cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The Rambler cracks Kongo with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The Rambler lands a big shot to the head and Kongo winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Samuel The Rambler!
