Mayweather throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Phillips.
Mayweather will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Phillips staying out of range there.
Mayweather doesn't manage to clinch there - Phillips circles away.
Mayweather fails with an attempt to clinch.

and Mayweather takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Tyrone Mayweather has been cut.
Phillips tries to close the distance and clinch but Mayweather swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A head kick misses from Phillips.
Phillips wants to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Phillips drops Mayweather with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Mayweather! Phillips dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
