Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stian Ask (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fidel Castro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Fidel Castro enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Stian Ask! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fidel Castro! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Seu Braga and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Castro fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Ask fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Castro sprawls well initially but Ask persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Castro wants to get back to full guard. Ask stops Castro from getting back to his feet.
Ask is looking for a kimura here.
Castro wants to control but Ask is keeping busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Castro desperately trying to maintain half guard. Ask prevents Castro from improving his position. Castro looks like he's trying to stand up.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Castro throws a nice head kick!
Ask is rocked! Ask shoots in but no luck this time. Castro fails in his attempt to clinch. Ask clinches up against the cage. Ask is breathing heavily. Castro tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ask just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ask wants a takedown.

Castro looks to clinch and Ask moves into the clinch. Castro looking for a takedown. Stian Ask has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fidel Castro. Castro is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Ask gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Ask stalls. Castro is looking to control Ask's arms but Ask gets an underhook and turns him. Now Castro has his back to the cage. Ask could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Castro wants to break the clinch but can't.

Ask crunches a lovely knee into Castro's ribcage. Ask breaks from the clinch.
Ask changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Castro looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Castro tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ask wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Castro is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Ask has just dragged him back down to the mat. Castro tries to buck Ask off but Ask is having none of it. Castro wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Castro struggling a bit here. Ask cracks Castro with a big elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Castro wants to control but Ask postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ask scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Castro is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Ask off and has taken his back! Castro doesn't have the hooks in and Ask manages to turn into his guard.
Castro wants to sweep here but Ask controlling him for the moment. Castro looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Stian Ask dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Ask fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Ask throws an overhand right that lands on Castro's shoulder, as Castro tries to avoid the shot. Castro wants to clinch and Ask counters with a nice double leg into guard. Castro pulls Ask in to control the position. Castro trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Castro not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Ask stands up from guard. Let's bang! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Castro fails with the takedown and Ask counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Ask is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Castro has managed to free his arm - good work. Castro trying to hold on to Ask's head to control him but Ask postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Ask is working for a kimura but Castro is defending it quite comfortably.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Castro takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Fidel Castro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Good work by Ask as he checks the leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ask circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ask swats away the attempt to clinch by Castro. Castro throws a head kick that Ask semi-blocks.
Castro looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Ask scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Castro is looking for a sweep. Castro is trying to control Ask's posture but Ask avoids it. Castro is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Ask off and has taken his back! Castro just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ask manages to reverse the position and now he's in Castro's guard. Nice work there by Ask.
Ask controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Ask has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stian Ask dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Ask gets a clinch. Castro wants to get back to striking at distance but Ask won't allow it.

Castro tries to pull guard but Ask holds him up against the cage and eventually Castro drops back down to his feet.

Ask shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Castro pinned against the cage. Castro gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Castro throws a sloppy head kick and Ask moves out of range easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Castro fails to land with a series of punches.
Ask scores a takedown into full mount! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Castro is working to get back to half guard.

Stian Ask overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Castro tries to hold on but Ask pushes him away. Castro working to try and regain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Ask takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Castro is working to get back to half guard.
Ask is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Ask moves out of range of the strikes. Castro keeps the fight on the outside. Castro shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Ask counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Castro is pressing down on Ask's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Castro working for a triangle but Ask defends it easily.
Ask looking to pass the guard. Castro has control of Ask's left arm, preventing Ask from doing any damage. Castro is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Castro controlling the action here. Castro seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ask does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Ask trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Castro manages to pass to mount!
Castro throws some wild stikes that Ask manages to avoid easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Stian Ask showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ask, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
