Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Jared (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mario Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Matt Jared! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mario Rodriguez! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rodriguez shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jared's guard. Jared wants to get back to his feet but Rodriguez is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Rodriguez thows a big elbow that misses. Jared wants to stand and escape but Rodriguez is having none of it. Jared is breathing heavily. Rodriguez controls from within his opponent's guard. Jared is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rodriguez is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rodriguez is looking to work some ground and pound but Jared has wrist control. Jared can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rodriguez controls the pace. Let's hope that Rodriguez has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Rodriguez works a leg free and moves into half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rodriguez in particular looking to stall.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rodriguez thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jared's head. Rodriguez is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Rodriguez is nestled in close to Jared, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rodriguez in particular looking to stall. Jared knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rodriguez on the ground. Rodriguez seems to be looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rodriguez passes the guard and advances to mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mario Rodriguez dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Jared has his takedown stuffed and Rodriguez counters with a shoot takedown. Jared fights it but they end up in guard. Rodriguez wants to control from the top but Jared keeps moving. Rodriguez advances position into side control! Rodriguez trying to control the position but Jared is working away. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rodriguez throwing strikes but missing, from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rodriguez controlling from side mount. Rodriguez is looking to take a break and control but Jared is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Despite being in the dominant position, Mario Rodriguez just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jared takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Rodriguez looks to land a combination but Jared avoids it well. Jared circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jared gets caught flat footed, as Rodriguez shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Rodriguez's corner is telling him to maintain position. Rodriguez slips nicely into half guard. Rodriguez controlling the action here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rodriguez decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Rodriguez is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jared's half guard. Rodriguez moves into full mount! Jared won't be happy about that!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jared really wants to buck Rodriguez off and get back to his feet. Rodriguez controlling the position easily from mount. Jared on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jared tries to get out of the position. Rodriguez has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Jared's face.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mario Rodriguez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Rodriguez closes the distance and clinches up with Jared, looking for a takedown. Rodriguez pushes Jared against the cage but Jared circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Jared blocks a jab. Jared tries for a takedown but Rodriguez circles away easily and Rodriguez counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jared! Rodriguez content just to control the position here. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jared in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Rodriguez controlling the position easily from mount. Rodriguez throwing strikes here but Jared is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Matt Jared has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jared is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Rodriguez has taken his back! Good control from Rodriguez. Mario Rodriguez has got the better of the ground game so far. Jared grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Rodriguez is riding his opponent, not letting Jared buck him off. Rodriguez landing with strikes. Jared fending off the submission attempt from Rodriguez. Jared staying busy and making it hard for Rodriguez to control.
And that's the end of the fight! Mario Rodriguez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rodriguez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
