Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joel Camargo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mike Spahr! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Thiago Cunha and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Camargo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Spahr working to try and regain half guard.
Camargo controlling the pace for now. Camargo lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Spahr hang on? Camargo lands a big elbow. Camargo punishing his opponent with strikes. Camargo with the ground and pound from mount. Camargo fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

The referee stands the fighters back up. Joel Camargo just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Camargo closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Spahr did well to prevent Camargo getting side control. Spahr trying to control but Camargo postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Spahr tries to clinch there but Camargo circles away.
Camargo lands a jab to Spahr's midsection. A head kick misses from Spahr. Spahr tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Camargo paws at him with a jab and circles away. Spahr fails with an attempt to clinch.
Mike Spahr is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Spahr is looking to clinch. Camargo has managed to clinch.
Camargo jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Spahr walks away with a smile on his face. Camargo gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joel Camargo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Spahr clinches but Camargo breaks the clinch and Camargo moves into the clinch. Camargo takes an elbow to the forehead. Spahr lands a nice elbow from the clinch. With the fighters up against the cage, Spahr throws an elbow but misses. Spahr creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Spahr tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Camargo gets control of Spahr's arms and successfully pulls guard. Camargo will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Camargo wants to stand and escape but Spahr is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Camargo is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Spahr prevents Camargo from breaking the clinch. Spahr utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. A nice glancing elbow lands by Spahr. Camargo avoids a wild elbow strike from Spahr. Spahr looks to throw an elbow but misses. Camargo blocks an elbow strike from Spahr.
Camargo looking to slow down the pace here. Spahr lands a nice elbow from the clinch. With the fighters up against the cage, Spahr throws an elbow but misses. Camargo is trying to force a seperation but Spahr has the dominant position. Spahr looks to throw an elbow but misses. Spahr connects with a nasty looking knee right to Camargo's face.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Spahr just misses with a elbow thrown towards Camargo's brow. Spahr misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Camargo.

Camargo is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Spahr is controlling him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Spahr has gone for a leg lock! Camargo slips out almost immediately though and dives into Spahr's guard. Camargo wants to control from the top but Spahr keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Camargo wants to get up but he can't break Spahr's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Camargo trying to control but Spahr is working from the bottom. Spahr has his feet on Camargo's thighs here. He's pushed Camargo off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Camargo screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
